Troubleshooting

Practical answers to the setup issues merchants run into most often.

I uploaded the theme, but I don't see it live on my storefront.+

Uploading a theme only adds it to your theme library — it doesn't publish it automatically. Go to Online Store → Themes, find NAZENDE, and click Publish. Before publishing, use Preview to check everything looks right.

Images aren't appearing on the homepage or product pages.+

Check that the relevant section or block actually has an image assigned in the Theme Editor — sections with no image selected render an empty placeholder area by design, rather than a broken-image icon. For product images, confirm the image is attached to the product (or the specific variant) in Shopify admin.

Products aren't showing up in a collection.+

Confirm the product is both active and actually added to that collection in Shopify admin — a product can exist in your catalog without belonging to any particular collection. For automated collections, check that the product matches the collection's conditions.

My navigation menu isn't showing up in the header.+

Make sure a menu is actually assigned to the header in Theme settings — creating a menu under Online Store → Navigation doesn't attach it to the header automatically; it needs to be selected there.

Filters or sorting options aren't appearing on a collection.+

Available filters come from Shopify based on the options and metafields your products in that collection actually use. A collection where every product shares the same single option (or has no filterable metafields) will show fewer or no filters — that reflects your catalog, not a theme issue.

A variant shows as unavailable even though I have stock.+

Check that inventory tracking and quantities are set correctly for that specific variant in Shopify admin, and that the variant hasn't been set to "Continue selling when out of stock" unintentionally turned off. NAZENDE reflects whatever availability Shopify reports for the variant.

Reviews aren't showing on a product.+

Reviews only appear once you've added at least one entry for that exact product under Settings → Custom data → Metaobjects → Nazende Review. Until then, the section shows an honest empty state rather than a fake rating. See Products for the full review workflow.

A customer says their wishlist disappeared.+

Wishlist items are stored in the browser the customer used (via localStorage), not on their account. Clearing browser data, using a private/incognito window, or switching devices or browsers will all show an empty wishlist, since there is nothing shared across devices to restore from.

Search isn't returning results I expect.+

Search matches against product titles, descriptions, pages, and article content as indexed by Shopify. If a product was recently added or edited, allow a short time for Shopify's search index to catch up.

The cart drawer isn't opening, or looks empty after adding a product.+

Try a hard refresh to rule out a stale cached page. If the issue persists, check the browser console for JavaScript errors — this is most often caused by a conflicting app embed or custom script injected elsewhere in the store rather than the theme itself.

The layout looks off specifically on mobile.+

Use the device preview toggle in the Theme Editor (or your phone's own browser against the Preview link) to check real mobile rendering — the desktop browser's narrowed window is a reasonable approximation but not identical to an actual phone viewport.

I made changes in the Theme Editor but they don't appear on the live site.+

Changes in the Theme Editor autosave to a draft of the theme you're editing, but only take effect on your live store once that theme is published, or if you were already editing the currently-published theme. Check Online Store → Themes to confirm which theme is live.
